Eel

Eels from Sargassi Sea, moving for years, arrive to Comacchio Valley. Eel are marinated in the Fire Room in Comacchio from October to Dicember. In this place Mario Soldati filmed the movie "The Woman of the River" with Sofia Loren.

There are 16 ways of cooking eels. Most used in fish soup, roast or marinated. Eel is Comacchio typical and loved dish.
