Game meat

Hunting in our province was a widespread practice from the time of the House of Este until just a few decades ago. The Mesola Forest was a hunting reserve for the nobility, where they hunted fallow deer (which are still present today), while ducks, coots, and plovers can still be found in the valleys; and in the fields, people hunt hares, quail, pheasants, and other birds.
